Camper safety is our main priority at the Orme Ranch Camp.

- Our Health Center located on campus is staffed by our onsite medical staff.
- We have a camp doctor in nearby Prescott, where the Yavapai Regional Medical Center is located.
- Our staff members:
- all hold minimum certifications in Red Cross CPR and First Aid.
- some have advanced medical designations in Wilderness First Aide and Wilderness First Responder.
- Red Cross certified Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors oversee all aquatic activities on campus as well as on field trips.
- Orme is proudly accredited by the American Camp Association, which means that we undergo a strenuous re-accreditation process every three years by this industry leading organization.
- We are also proud members of the prestigious Western Association of Independent Camps.

CAMPER TRANSPORTATION- When traveling to and from camp for arrival / departure days, travel days or Caravan, campers ride in either hired buses (with professional drivers) or camp vans. Camp vans are driven by staff 21 years of age or older with clean driving records. Camp drivers receive additional driver and safety training prior to camp, including "behind the wheel" training specific to vans, road hazard training, and emergency procedures.
